Fuel Gauge Problem

My fuel gauge has went crazy! When filled up, the gauge is showing way over the "F" mark. Then when the car is empty the gauge is still showing "1/4" tank. Any suggestions how to recalibrate or simple fix? HELP!!

I would assume since Ive taken the fuel pump assembly apart, that something on the fuel float lever is jacked up. There are tests you can perform to make sure the float is sending the right info.

It sends an ohm level to the gauge, the Factory Service Manual has all this info on what it needs to be at Empty and Full.
