Spark Plugs...what to get....

I posted the 60K service question a while back and i think im just going to get the dealership to change my spark plugs...anything else i can get done elsewhere and probably for cheaper than at the dealer. Question 1 is: What kind of spark plugs should i buy? (should i stick with the stock platinum tipped plugs or should i upgrade to Iridium tipped plugs?? Pros/Cons of either or both??) Im going to get my own i think because I may even have someone else put them in for me too and just forget going to the dealer all together. BUT if i decide to get my own plugs and take it to the dealer..how much are we lookin at for total cost to change the plugs??
Thanks in advance!

There are currently 3 sets of PFR5G-11 (OEM NGK Laser Platinum Plugs) being auctioned on eBay right now. The starting bid for 6 plugs is $30, you can use Buy It Now and get them for $38. Shipping is $5. The NGK plug IMO is the best plug to use in our cars. The dealer (local) would probably charge $10 - $12 for each plug. The dealer would probably charge you $50 - $60 dollars to install them. Do it yourself, you can buy all the tools you'll need out of the money you saved. There are several write ups on how to change plugs, use search to find them. At a minimum I would get the plugs on eBay!
Hope this helps!

RVMRACING has them for $68.99. Thats for the Denso Iridium plugs... There better then the NGK's but they don't last quite as long. Probably 40K vs 60K with stock.

I've had bad luck with the Iridiums breaking. I say go for the stock units. Unless you're boosting they'll do just fine.

Breaking? What part on the plug are you talking about?

Geez. On my old 85 Honda Accord. I would get this huge rattle and shaking of the car. Go home take out cylindar 1 spark plug and most of its gone. Did this quite often. I dont see how the heck it goes through the engine without damaging it. but it did. Cylinder one was notorious in my car and cylinder 3 did it every once in awhile. But this happened using Champion spark plugs, and whatever the plugs that come in a orange box are.
