It is kind of like ridding your brakes. Anytime you hve contact between one moving part and a stationarty part you have friction and wear. That is if you are slipping the clutch at all. If your foot is off the clutch, then your clutch is fully engaged and are not doing any damage to your clutch.

In theory that will work, but Nissan completely underestimated the torque of this engine. That is why there is a TSB out for the clutch noise. This engine produces a lot of torque, and the original clutch isn't designed to handle it. The TSB states that the clutch has "blueing" on it, which means it is slipping more than normal. When I first got this car I did some burnouts(after the break in of course), and I would always smell the clutch burning afterwards. I think unless you have your clutch good an warmed up you shouldn't do burnouts. But that is just my .02 I don't do burnouts anymore because I am broke after my suspension purchase, and I don't really want to fork out money for tires until the summer(new rims and tires heheheh).

and "fastmax02"....it is good to see you came back to the max
