I have a 5sp 2k max - all stock, C+C, leather trim, bose, with just above 8k miles on it.

Its been running great - no noises except for occasional rattle when the car is cold (which we all know about!)

Just yesterday, I started noticing this creaking noise from the front of the car (seems to be from the hood, towards the right). So this morning while driving to work I shut off the music and there it was - loud and clear - there is this slight occasional creak over rough road which gets louder when I brake and pretty damn loud of i have to make a sudden turn or stop.

help? anyone? i plan to take it into the dealer anyway, but a headstart would be good.... thanks

I have that same problem. Except that the creaking disappears after the first 5 ft or so. I've gone to the dealer 4 times so far for this problem and they won't fix it because they can't duplicate it. Good luck to you.

I had a creaking that sounded like it was coming from the bottom of the front window area, it was driving me crazy. Turns out, it was the aftermarket alarm siren the dealer installed in the engine compartment that was rubbing against a hose in there. The relocated the siren and the noise was gone. Make sure you investigate ALL possibilities!
