NISSANOWNER.com

Just got a mailing from Nissan since I recently bought my 2K3. I assume its their way of getting back customer survey info. They offer a free gift (stainless travel mug) if you go to the site and enter your Vin# & a Pin# they send you.

Have any of you gotten this mailing? Any opinions about it? Good, bad or indifferent?

I got a survey from nissan about my experience at the car dealership. However, I haven't seen one yet for the stainless steel coffee mug offer though.

I registered early Feb, got my travel mug this Mon. Its not a bad looking mug. No insulation, but good to fill up with water and take along on the go.

I also got a "Genuine Leather" Nissan CD Case. First came the 20+ question dealership questionair, then a few days ago I received a small phamplet of Nissan literature with an offer to answer a few questions for a free Nissan CD case.

I visited the site, although I had problems with the web site on my office PC (I operate a Microsoft Service Center). Eventually I found a PC that could open their secure page, and all was well. Wish they would ask how the paint doing... because it REALLY SUCKS! It the equivalent of a rice paper windshield.

Same with me. A mailing with some literature and the web address. Waiting for the CD case now.

Just an update...I registered for the site....after all the hoopla it brings you to the Nissan homepage....

there is one nice feature that anyone can sign up for...at the Nissan homepage, up in the top left corner, under "OWNING" you can select "My Nissan" you can setup a profile and get local dealership service coupons, any recall info, check service & maintenance schedules...etc

I know you can get most of this stuff already, but it ties it all together on one page...not bad
