Slotted/CrossDrilled Brakes good? under normal driving conditions?

Hey wassup...

I want to replace my brakes because they suck and they are getting worse day by day. My q is crossdrilled slotted worth it under normal driving conditions. I have 18's on the my car currently. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what I should get that is worth the money and that will give me good braking ability with less noise.

thanks
vilash

I am also having ?'s about this. I would prefer not to go crossdrilled or slotted (I have them now and they didn't really help, but I also didn't install them, they were on the car when I got it used).

Vman - I have my thread here so you can keep an eye on that to for ideas.

brakes

It all depends on what you guys use the car for. If it sees track use, may want to have the slotted/crosdrilled for added cooling (though crossdrilled have a tendancy to crack easier). For the track, you could also consider a big brake kit. For daily driving only, even OEM style brakes would be fine. If you want better stopping power, I would suggest to get some Brembo blanks and some good pads (IMPORTANT!) and you may want to replace your brakes lines with braided ones. While your at it, flush the system with Motul brake fluid.
