gave the max a performance make over today

installed at meineke: warspeed y-pipe , high flow cat,b-pipe, ur pulley,cross drilled rotors, matrix brake pads, tokico shocks ,braided brake lines and 18'Mille Miglia Evos wrapped in sumitomo htr tires . now all i have to do is drive like a senior citizen for about 300 miles to break in the rotors

hey i just installed new rotors too. are we suppose to drive really slowly to break-in the pads and rotors?

To break in new rotors, drive to about 45-50 mph and bring the car to a stop using gentle braking. Drive for 5-10 minutes to let the brakes cool. Repeat this 9-10 times. No hard braking during the first 500 miles or so thereafter.

o no....too late. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.........i braked hard the first 2-3 times from around 20mph to test to see if i installed 'em correctly and working. I really hate myself sometimes. i think this is the end to my "modding career"

well, 20 mph isn't too bad... don't sweat it. Just go easy on them for the time being.

a few guys on the org have them ,kloogy has 19" ,stillen says about 300 miles to break in the rotors. 250 miles to go

My local meinike didnt want to install my after market suspension becuase they said they only isntall there brand stuff. How much did they charge for the front rotor swap?

i got the front and back rotors done with everything else for $450 ,took them about 5 hours.the manager was cool even lets one of the mechanics work on his 10 sec mustang there when business is slow.
