I've notice some slight rust on the window trims. Anyone else noticed this on their Maxima's? ugh! this car is ALWAYS garaged overnight and I rarely drive in the rain. But when I do, I ALWAYS wipe the car. I will post new pics of this to show you guys once I get the camara back from the repair shop

Isn't that chrome stuff just plastic? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it is plastic coated with some sort of metal material. Not completely sure though.

Similar problem

I've noticed similar spots on the body of my car and I also garage it. Is your car white? I don't know about the crome, but I've been told that white cars have a propensity to attract these spots on the body..? I was able to buff the spots off. I then applied a coat of paint sealer and polish. Hopefully this helps. Haven't noticed anything on the crome though.. Good luck.

I think those spots are probably some kind of tar or something. I had that problem with my white cars in the past. Its a pain in the ***, but I found if you use a good bug and tar remover cream, and a lot of patients, it will come off... Just make sure you wax it afterwards...
