My thoughts exactly when I talked to him....he laughed that he lost a job for only 1 day then found another one

But he has marketability. So for those that are "supporting" him. A good thing would be to make those orders.

Good news. Now all Kevin is got to do is update the info in the Parts List sticky thread and delete the name and no. of that other dealer... (the last post IIRC).

Woohoo!
I'm happy that Dave found another great job!

I still remember him helping me out all those times I ordered stuff and when I went there personally to see him.

He hooked me up with free t shirts and stuff.

Good up the good work Dave

At first I felt sorry for Dave losing his job. Now, I just really, really hate him. Who the hell finds a new job within one day? That's ******* impossible. From now on, I am boycotting anything associated with Dave Burnette.

Just kidding! Congrats! I'm updating my cell phone right now. By the way, the only businesses that I have in my cell phone are Outback Steakhouse, my tile guy, and Dave Burnette. Dave, you should feel special!

It's true!
Today was my first day at South Point, I'm still settling in, I should be up to speed very quickly. The management is acutely aware of my internet efforts, and supports them. The discount, shipping terms, and service are the same. Once again, the new # is 888-254-6060, I would love to hear from everyone!

What 800-XXX-XXXX isn't good enough?

Until Dave gives a heads up that he's open for business, I'm going to leave it alone.

On Friday he said he would make an anouncement, so I'll wait until he posts.

That would really be the best...perhaps my next Nissan could be bought through the internet

For real, what's the procedure for setting up a dealership?

you have to speak with the owner of nissan. my uncle had to meet with mr. honda to get approved for his dealership. this is before mr. honda died.

Aw Dave. Quit that ole Texas dealership and come out to the job I found for you in Raleigh. Heck, we'll take you out for beers and stuff (trying to avoid future shipping..hehehe).

Seriously, glad you found something local so quickly.

I am astonished Dave. We talked briefly, but your hospitality made me feel like an actual person, rather than an idiot which is how I am treated here at the phoenix dealerships. Dealers trying to double-side tape my seat back together, trying to sell me a whole other maxima because it had the spoiler I was asking to order, etc. I wrote this for you, I hope that you get hired back, but if not, I hope those in power realize what they lost, a true human in a world of machines.

To Whom it May Concern,

I recently dealt with Mr. David Burnette who worked in your Wholesale/Internet parts at your Town North Nissan. I recently had a problem with my car, in which I was referred to Mr. Burnette from a group of Maxima Enthusiasts online. My car had gone into idle-mode, and he and I figured out that it was probably a blown MAF Sensor. I was very disgruntled as my car is a necessity for me, and having it inoperable was unacceptable. I talked with Dave several times, and he made me feel like a person not just a customer, and he really cared about me and my car. I have yet to have a dealing like this with any of my local dealers in Phoenix, Arizona and I took comfort talking to David about my car and what the next steps were. Even though we never met, he made a big impact on me as he was helpful and knowledgeable. He has helped supply online maxima enthusiasts and I from all over North America just from his desk at your dealership. Without him supplying us with factory parts, I am unsure where I, or other members are going to buy them. There is a thread on a maxima forum that is currently 10 pages long supporting David and what he did. He is a huge asset for any company to have.

Concerned Maxima Enthusiast

DaveB, damn that's horrible news. I remember when you first offered to hook me up, I didn't tihnk it was that great of a deal. Until I walked in one day when you weren't there and the guy charged me literally three times as much, and he was a ***** about it. I told the guy there I thought $40 for a strut bearing was just way too much and I asked if there was anything he could for me on that price, he said no (I didn't mention you had hooked me up before for like $11).

Anyways, I hate that dealer anyways, I went in there to look at possibly buying a 2k2 Maxima SE and the sales man wouldn't give me the time of day cause I told him I was going to look at Acura's and Audi's as well. He said something on the lines of, "Well when you know you want a Maxima then come and see me." Well duh, I'm here to try and figure out if I want it or not.

Anyways, now I really don't like that dealer.

Good luck DaveB, keep us posted on what/where you end up at. PLEASE get a job at Lexus of Austin, I can't even come close to afford their part's prices.

Bro, you dug up a pretty old thread. He had a new job within a few days, and he's back to serving the Maxima.org community. I don't have his new phone #, but it's somewhere in this long a$$ thread.
