Q. about installing 3m clear bra

I've been meaning to install this kit, but it’s been to cold lately. However, this Sat it is supposed to be around 45 degrees. The kit says it requires 60 degrees. My question is, if I keep the kerosene heater running in my garage and heat up the front of the car, will that be sufficient enough to install it?
Also, can I use rubbing alcohol to clean the front?
Thx in advance.

No, this will not be warm enough and you will get "hot spots" depending on how close the heater is. I would recommend, to make sure YOU are happy with the install to really wait until its a little warmer than 60. ESPECIALLY if you are doing the bumper. Its more than difficult as it is already. As for cleaning the front, just follow the directions included with the kit.

Good Luck.

Clear Bra Install

I agree with Colonel. Wait until the weather warms up. Better yet, wait for it to stay above 60 for a few days straight to make sure everything is at an adequate temp. After watching the shop install mine and seeing how you have to stretch the film to get it right on the bumper, I would not take any chances. Glad I decided to let someone else do the job. And yet, follow the directions to a "T".
