Mudflaps are USELESS

WTF was nissan thinking? It snowed here in NY the other day, and as it melts, I get slush all over the underside of the car. The mudflaps could be another 3-4 inches lower to prevent this. Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem. Not to mention they hold slush inbetween the tire and the mudflap for days, and when it falls out it sounds like a big "clunk"

Im looking at the door sills right under the passenger side front door, and slush goes from there and ends at the passenger side rear.

Are the 00-01 madflaps any different that the 02-03s?

Yep i have an 03 which is only 2 months old...i live on long island... and today i went out to go start my car and go to skool and i look in the wheel wells and there is snow jammed in between each tire and wheelwell/mudflap. It took my 45 mins to get the snow out which had turned to ice over night.

They are more of a "mod" for appearance on the 02/03, they give them a slightly better look. Now the ones on the 95-99 were real mudguards!

Not really. I have them on my 2K and all it does is provide a place for slush to pack up.

Should we take our splashgaurds off? Maybe the car will look better too?
