I am ready to do whatever needs to be done. Dave was the 1st - the absolute first to work at getting us 2k owners the AE parts at a good price. He has always done what is best for the customer. I wrote the following e-mail since he gave us the a-ok, but if there is anything else I can do, please e-mail me. (sorry for the length)
Dear Mr. Worfe,
I am writing to express my concern over the termination of Dave Burnette. I am a part of a large Maxima community that relied on Dave and in turn, your dealership for Maxima parts. Dave is a very valuable representative of your company and extremely knowledgeable about Nissan and its parts.
I am staring at receipts from Town North Nissan totaling well over $800 excluding shipping all because of Dave. I live in Missouri and have no reason to buy my maintenance parts and other goodies from a dealership in Texas, but I did because of Dave. I would like to give you an example of how Dave really helped me out. I have a 2000 Maxima that I wanted to put the AE edition shifter on. I bought the shifter from Town North and in modifying the stalk that needed to be modified, I really messed it up. I called Dave and we decided that I needed a whole new shifter assembly. He found one that day and shipped it to me in time so I could work on it that weekend. Without asking, he included diagrams of the shifter assembly and gave me his home e-mail address if I had problems or questions. He had already earned it, but he solidified my loyalty to him and the place that he works on that day.
$800 may not be much to you, but I am one person of a large Maxima community and I am serious when I say that we were loyal to Dave because he personified customer service. In a day and time that customer service is really lacking, especially at Nissan, Dave Burnette was the exception. I could count on him for everything. While internet sales may have been a small portion of the total parts business at Town North, Dave built a lot of equity in the company with his can-do attitude and helpfulness. There was not one day that I spoke to Dave (and there were many) that he was not in a good mood and happy to help. I can't imagine a better ambassador for your company that Dave Burnette.
I know that the economy is tough and decisions, even tough ones, are sometimes very necessary. I only wish that instead of just trying to cut your expenses and improve the bottom line, you would have realized the positive goodwill that Dave brought to your company and the business that you earned because of him. You may be able to replace him with someone else, but you will never be able to replace the hard work, the dedication, the loyalty that he gave to you through his dealings with us. Another thing that you will never be able to replace is my and the maxima.org community's trust in your company. No one outside of Austin had heard of Town North until Dave came there. I will certainly never look there for parts again. Selfishly, I hope that Dave catches on at another Nissan dealership. However, my only true hope is that he catches on somewhere that appreciates everything he has to offer.
Thank you for your time,

Got some requests out.
Put a Call into the Parts Manager at our local dealership (Southern States) and a PM to tonylittell. Hopefully something will come of it.
I'll send you a PM, Dave if I get a name and number for you.
How does NC or VA sound?
Ok (edited) Dave, send me an email with a non-dealer based address so I can send you some info. Raleigh, NC Parts Manager wants to talk to you.
