I finally put my notes together and found some old pics of the car before the Maxspeeds. I went to the same spot and took similar angles for comparison.

I didn't write-up the Front replacement while each step was fresh in my mind (Sorry, but I'm getting old you know...) I do have some pics of the front replacement if anyone wants them.
But this is a fairly detailed write-up of rear replacement on a 2K2 and some decent comparison pics. It includes all the pertinent pages from the Service manual as well.

Oh, sorry. It seems to be the main topic of conversation on putting on lowering springs - "How much does it drop? "Is it slammed?" ...etc.

After settling, the Maxspeeds (w/Stock shocks/struts) gave me about a 1 7/8" - 2" drop in the front and about a 1 1/2" - 1 5/8" drop in the rear. But the pics show that better.
