For installation, go to Alex Moir's homepage:

Alex did a great job capturing the "correct" install process. I would not install this into the +/- of the stock sub. I would recommend installing directly to the head unit. That was you can still turn the bass on the head unit up or down, as well as on the basslink.

Have fun...

It works this way on mine too, and it's just tapped into the +/- going to the Bose sub on the rear deck.

The way mine is hooked up, the Bass level on the head unit affects all speakers (including Basslink), and as the volume is turned up, the power sent to/bass produced by the basslink goes up too.

Plus you can run the wire for the remote level control and have that adjustment too. Just mount it under the dash in a reachable spot, and you have much better control without having to go to the trunk every time you want to tune it. This feature is absolutely awesome, especially for those who listen to different types of music. You can adjust it easily to match the current CD/station/song.

And if I could describe the connectors used to connect the basslink to the existing wires (which the basslink is fully made to work with): Grab your left forearm with your right hand...Where your left forearm is the existing + or - wire going to the stock sub, and your right arm is the wire going to the basslink. Your right hand is the connector that taps into the existing wire. Simple to do for those that don't want to mess with pulling out the head unit and running RCAs.
