i just witnessed a high speed chase on my local news station and saw 2 2k2-2k3 maximas in the chase. it turns out they were either undercover cops or detectives cars. it was just great seeing what i thought was a maxima fly by the other car and then it turns out to be a maxima. just gave me a warm feeling inside knowing how great the vq is. the chase ended at miami dade community college if anybody cares.

 

The chase was in Miami????? I love in coral gables and i didnt see this. If there are maximas as undercover cops.......im in BIG trouble

I was watching cops 1 night a long time ago and they had a drug bust and the detectives were undercover in a maxima

it was all over the news 30 min ago. i really hope they were detective cars and not undercover. it was a robbery/homicide that started in miramar i believe.

Man, that video was crazy! What kind of car was the green sedan that they were chasing? It looked like a Hyundai or an Accord? I loved the way that the Max blew past the police cars.

A little off topic, but I was at the Local drag track here in the 808 state. the announcer says that he thinks there is a cop waiting for people to speed past him. So me and my wife leave at speed. and shore enough there is a chase car there. and it's a 2k2 Max with the blue light on top.

 

I clicked on the link to the news station and there was a Nissan ad banner on top of their site. Coincidence?

 

that video is so cool, especially when the first 2k2 blows by the two cruisers and then the two 2k2's block the car in at the end of the video and the cops pop out

And when they're not chasing someone, they can kick back and open the sunroof. The cops have a better equpped max than me.

Damn, that sucks. Poor guys were protecting the innocent and got offed. All of us that have been or are in public service understand the risks, but it sucks hard when the goodguys go down like that.

 

I just wonder what police like so much about the maxima... I bet its the beam axle that gives them at drifty Caprice feel. Oh, and that console mounted twin donut holder with freshness sealing cover..

I live down in Miami, and saw it on every local station there is... A tan and titanium Maxes...BAd AZZ's... I gurantee you that those Maxes were bought From the Hertz rental stores down here, there were a ton of them for sale In Miami,....

I was like a DT in a Max, good shiett...They realized the potential of the VQ engine... Say bye bye to Caprices and Impalas... Hello Maxima...
