What's a good size tire to run on the following:
-17x7-
AND
-17x8-

I would do a SEARCH but it is disabled. *sorry*

17x8 Hmm, I dunno on this one. My 16x8 truck wheels I run 275/60-16's, but on the Max...maybe 245/40/17. I think that's what my brother's rear tire size was on his stock SLK 230. They're wide 18's now (with all the RENNTech mods we've done, we need them).

Thanks for the reply. The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of upgrading my rims to either 17x7 or 17x8. I don't want to run a tire with a too thick of a sidewall or too thin of side wall. Just something in the middle. Also my car will be lowered on PROGRESS Springs. Any help will be appreciated.

17x8, 245/45. Sidewalls are almost same height as stock 225/50.

I have Eibach, Koniig Tantrum, 17x8, +40 offset, and no rubbing.

The originals for the 2K Max are 225/50/17. I currently run 235/50/17 and they look good, even though this might not work lowered.
Just plus size the wheels ie: 225/50/16 = 235/45/17 = 235/40/18

I'm running 17x8's with 235/45-17's. The sidewall of the tire is pretty much straight up and down with the wheel.

245/45/17 they are the same size as mustang 17's, just remember, you have to pay to play. Those tire will probably go bald after 20k-30k. I replace the fronts every 8-9 months. I don't even get time to rotate.

Dunlop SP5000- All season
Sumitomo HTR+- All season
Pilot Sport AS- Kinda but not really All season
Bridgestone S-03 Pole's- You need jesus if you think you can touch snow. Great summer tires. the godfathers
