messed up doing how-to mod. need help

I was bored and went looking for something to do to the car.
So I decided to do the "Russ2kSE's Instructions on Rewiring your corner lights to blink with blinkers" found here . I have a 2k2, but I figured it would still work. I follow the instructions correctly, but with bad results. Not only did the sidemarkers not flash with the orange turn signals, but the orage turn signals no longer worked. So I gave up and returned it back to stock. Everything works now, with the exception that the orage turn signals do NOT flash with I hit the keyless doorlock. The horn still honks, but the lights do not double-flash.
What could the problem be? I checked fuses, but the ones I checked are fine (headlights, turnsignals, etc.) Is there a certain fuse that I may have overlooked?

You definetely blew the fuse. Did you check to see if they worked when you put it back to stock by turning on the hazards or turn signals?

Which wire did you tap? I think you tapped the wrong one and blew the fuse. You are supposed to take the power wire off the turnsignal and hook at upto the ground wire of the corner light.

the hazards work fine.
I taped (sliced into) the green wire from the turn signal and wired it to the black wire coming from the car and left the black wire from the sidemarker light connected to nothing.

Thats your problem right there, you wired the wrong one. You were supposed to leave the wiring coming from the car connected to nothing, tape it up. And then tap the wire from the turn signal to the sidemarket light wire you cut.
