yea...i dont have enough money right now to buy rims, so i was thinking about painting my rims.... i have a black 2k2 w/ limo tint and tein springs..... i kinda want to paint my rims "gunmetal" or primer black like the spoon rims...theres a guy w/ a 2k3 te and he thinks he's freaking bad *** and has a better max....things like that make me mad...im just jealous of those rims....

So do you guys think i should
*leave them alone
*paint them gunmetal
*primer black

 

i think painted white would look phat as *****!

btw, im buying those springs tomorrow, have you put them on yet?hows the ride with them? Rough?

How do they perform oveer bumps? does the car bounce at all?
what shocks are you running?

 

leave them alone and save your case for rims, or sell your rims and put in some extra cash and get better ones, if you paint them, they are worthless to anyone else.

man....I WISH~! freak....wanted them for such a long time....that would look nice...but im currently unemployed....ugh~ have to go apply for knotts berry farm...im getting desperate...need $$$$

and...if i did have the money to buy the rims....i would buy a NICE 2 way alarm b4 anthing over $500 gets installed on my car...


they are alot stiffer than stock...at first its pretty bad over the bumps...1st day...the car does bounce a little....im on stock shocks...i like it alot more....it seems to be getting softer...its the 2nd day...
i installed in 2 hrs and 15 mins....it took me 45 mins to figure out how to unbolt one of the rear strut tower bolts....didn't have an extension til 40 mins into it, i was unbolting the freaking brace thing behind the seats....damn that bolt~!

i say the handling is WELL worth it...i have a RSB and a FSTB...

WATCH THE ROAD~ and when you park..dont go too close to the parking block....u can move forward for about 6-8 inches before you start scraping the plastic underbody....ill have to make a custom home depot underbody after i put a lil more thought into the rims...
AND i can't go on the lift~ its such a HASSLE if i really do...

 

Your Maxima is black with limo tint.. Hey paint the rims black.. It look phat because Im into JDM style.. JDM= Japanese Domestic Motor.. I used to have black Civic with black Spoon rims.. IT match and lots of people say match too.. So go for it and u will like it alot... I have sterling mist 2k2 Maxima right now and Im going to paint gunmetal on my stock rims.. I will take pics soon..

 

Dont paint your stock rims, they will look soooo ricey.

alot of the mods i have can be considered "rice"
i personally dont give crap if people call it rice...in my opinion and many others, my car looks clean...im going for a clean classy look...
my mods are ; bomz fstb,addco rsb,tein springs,stillen intake, apex i n1 exhaust,all the lightbulbs except the maplight and visor, stillen sides and rear valance, tint, and a bunch of little painted things here and there such as calipers and stuff....
people can call it rice all they want, to me, its damn classy

but don't paint em... if you want the gunmetal, i'm sure you could find an AE owner who'll sell em cheap or swap for your rims plus a small donation.
