Have a good one.

The Mobil one filter is quite nice, also Wix makes a high quality filter (Napa). Fram is junk cut one open, cardboard end caps, sheet metal relief spring, thin case. Spend the extra couple of dollars, in fact use Mobil-One 0-30 or 5-30, their filter, and change your oil at eight thousand miles.

Yes, the VQ's should all use the same filter... read the box.

Should I be worried about the stock Nissan filter that the dealer puts on?

Nope, that's what most of us recommend. I remember seeing a thread on this topic in the General Forum before, but that was quite a while back.
