My SES light came on yesterday so i decided to take my car to Autozone to get a diagnosis. There were 2 codes being reported.

1) Some sort of Manufacturer Specific code that said to see service manual?

2) Cylinder #5 misfiring

Anyone else have this problem or know what to do with either of these? I hope its nothing extreme...maybe just a bum spark plug. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the extended warrant so hopefully that will cover this...we all know about our Nissa warranties.

 

most likely, it is a bad ignition coil.

I have the same thing and misfire in cylinder #4. As far as i know its nothing major. My car still ripps like crazy, just a little rough at idle. I think 2k have problems with coils.

 

Do you have to make an unnecessary comment? I put it in 2 whole forums...isnt this forum a way to post questions and answers?
