suspension difference between SE and GLE/GLX?

I have the 2k2 se and I feel that the suspension is to floaty to begin with. what is the difference between the SE suspension and the other models? Is it actually stiffer/sportier?

thanks.

It's just in the stabilizer bar. Same springs and struts, I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Im not sure that they are tokicos, but i know for a fact that the suspension on the SE is alot stiffer. The stabilizer bars are thicker too. My friend has a GLE and that thing floats compared to the SE. Now I think the guy asking has prelude, the maxima is a HUGE car by comparison. So, it will feel floatier. Go drive a camry and then go back to ur max. U will see the difference.

SE's MUST be stiffer than GLX/GXE...It's what I paid for!!!...

Is it me or are SE's a bit lower than GXE/GLE's

Yep they are tokicos , just not the Tok Blues u see at stillen. Its basically and OEM strut built by Tokico with a slightly higher dampening force then the GLE/GXE. Btw I ordered my springs 2day/progress but im not too sure if I want to go with KYB struts. I want to try Tok Blue's but all ive seen are mixed reactions about them on here.

Yeah, I knew they were Tokicos but I thought that the GXEs and GLEs had them too.

Get the KYBs. Now that you fixed mine, I love em.

Yeah atleat 90% of that anoying clunking noise is gone, if only I could see what was makin that little clunk in the front .
Well then looks like instead of getting the struts this time, im gonna have to just hold off and stick with the springs, get a RSB and the 19's which I still cant decide on. Either way all this is gonna costin me an arm and a leg, oh and thanks 4 the ronal wheel thing.lol btw what do u think Se7en or phantom? Im stumed. Ull probably say se7en.

Se7ens. Definitely. I already voted. I hate chrome on white cars.

I just got the exhaust fixed. Rear clunk is gone. Also, I am working on buying a body kit right now. How hard was the install?

i always though chrome looked good on either white or black, but nothing in between

Same here, but the thing with mine is, its an auto and I already got a body kit on it. Its more of a show car then anything. If I had a 5spd and a **** load of bolt-ons. Hands down Id go with silver racing type rims like the se7en but id go with 18's. 19's is more of a show thing.

Yeah I noticed this too...I've got a GXE that I've put all SE stuff on, including the SE rims, and my friend has the same exact year but in SE with the rims standard, and his sits a little lower than mine. Not too noticeable though.

My understanding when I purchased the 2k max was the spring rate and sway bars. Spring rates are higher in the SE and the front sway is thicker and the back is worthless. Just a metal bar that acts like a torsion bar. Got the stillen SB and it makes a nice difference. The car still leans a good deal but that can be fixed with a change out of the springs.
