Oil question???

I will be doing an oil change tonight and I have already purchased Mobil 1 5W30. The weather here in Chicago is breaking, so now I'll be more concerned with a spring/summer oil. Should I use the 5W30 or take it back and get 10W30??? I can't remember which one to use. BTW, I'll be using a M1-110 filter.

That oil will be fine in chicago all year 'round. There are arguments for switching to 10w30 in the brutally hot states, but even those aren't really "proven." Use 5w30 (recommended by Nissan) and you'll be all set.

from the manual:

SAE 5W-30 viscosity oil is preferred for all
ambient temperatures. SAE 10W-30,
10W-40 viscosity oil may be used if the
ambient temperature is above 0°F (−18°C).
