Tail light problems

For the past 3 months or so my drivers side brakelight philiment has been burning out between every 2-5 weeks. I imagen that it is just a short someplace, but I figured I'd post it and see if anyone else had any similar problems.

Re: Tail light problems

Im also having tail light problems. This might be a common thing b/c i notice on other cars also. My right tail light is out, but when i press my brakes, the right tail light works. Is it a simple bulb that 's out or something else. I looked at the manual and noticed one tail/brake bulb and not seperate. Any suggestions?

That's because it's a dual filamint bulb, when you hit the brakes, it triggers a different part of the bulb to light up than when you simply have your lights on. Same deal with the front turn signals if you don't have HIDs

yeah i just had a brake light out drivers side. It was just that the bulb was not pushed in all the way! Also my dad said the housing for the bulb is what makes it go out peridically. He told me just to give it a wiggle and push the bulb in all the way.
