BOSE problem

Hi to all.

I know that there is probably a lot posted on the BOSE issue but the search feature is down and I couldn't find anything useful by manual scroll. So....

Lately, I've been getting error messages on my BOSE system when I try to play CDs. When that initially happened, I would simply eject the CD, reload it and the problem would be gone. In the past week, however, this no longer helps. I am down to 3 discs that work, 3 are down.

Does the system need to be replaced?.

I got this car (03 GLE loaded) 4 months ago and would hate to see the dealer mess up the interior.

Thanks.

Alex.

I get the same problem with some of my burnt CDs. I just switch to radio and then back to CD and its fine.

Yep, that used to work, not any longer. I heard that a lot of stereo system components are subcontracted by BOSE to other firms and that reduced the quality from the 4th generation systems.

This is a common problem with the 2k2 and 2k3 maximas. It is actually the Bose head unit that needs replaced. The first thing that usually happens is the left speakers will start to cut out, and then the error problems occur. Just go to the dealer and get a new head unit.
