On the factory alarm and keyless entry unit, how the hell can I arm the thing without the horn sounding??

I actually did read the back and thought it would tell you.
But to help a fellow max member out. You have to hold the lock and unlock buttons on you key fob at the same time. It will then cycle through to have just the lights blink or not at all(I think) when you lock the car.

the 2k2/3 remotes are totally different from the 2k/1 ones. Nissan used generic ones for the 2k2/3 ones so they don't have any instructions. I assume the same button combination works tho.

Hold both buttons down for 2 seconds (or until the lights flash)..

That doesn't work on the 2000. (and probably the 2001 as well).
Although I've never in my life had the urge to open up every window at once

yeah but down here in florida with summer, theres nothing worse then getting into a car with all black interior thats sat in the sun for a couple hours. Lowering the windows beforehand definetely helps.
