Audio WOES!

Here is my situation! My bose stereo was stolen they cut everything including speaker cable and everything. The bose amp is cut and missing. So i ran new speaker wires to the back door. Can't seam to get the grommet off the front doors to run speaker wires there because they are held with a bolt. How do i do this. Problem 2 is that I need to find a 12 volt constant (yellow wire of head unit) but none of them seem to be working! Don't know why! then I need to find a switched a power source that would turn the radio on when the car is turned on. Finally I need to find some speaker brackets for the doors that will fit the car front and rear. I need help soon and fast. If i can finish this system by tuesday that would be great!

Please help me!

It is very hard to run wires into your front doors. If you take that nut completely off it's just a pin switch which connects to the fire wall. I had to run my wire through my firewall and came in through the fender well. But wires had to cut through engine bay. Check the wiring diagram or bet a light or a meter. There may be a fuse for that wire and it could be blown. If it comes down to it you could run a constant wire straight to the battery if you can't find a wiring diagram. And for a switched line you can tap off of a big blue and white wire located in the fuse blocks near the emergency brake. And for the brackets I just used some MDF board and cut it with little tabs to screw into the factory screw holes. I hope this info was helpful. If you have any other questions just ask. I had to figure this all out by myself and this info would have been very helpful when I first started.

The best way is to take off the liner in the fenderwell on the driver's side. Once you do this, it will expose and existing grommet that already has a bunch of wires going in it. What I did was taped the power wire to a flat head screwdriver and pushed until it would go through. Then pull the screwdriver out and keep pushing the wire through until you see it at the other end. I was using 4 Gauge power wire so anything less would be easier.

Remind me not to move to Nashville. Evidently it's even worse than NYC now; they even take the wires!

So what makes you think that whoever took your Bose system won't come back for whatever it is you're putting in now? I think you better worry about running the power wire for a new alarm before you run the power wire for a new stereo.

Oh no...not Nashville. And I at least thought Middle TN was safe from this kind of BS.
