5th gen H&R's on a 4th gen?????

Does anyone know if this will work? The part numbers are different, but I had heard before that it would work. I would like to put my H&R's on my brothers 98 max. Does anyone know if there is truth to this?

thanks

As usual Igor hasn't a clue. Maxman the reason I would say no is the 5th gen is the a33 and the 4th gen is a a32. I think given the fact the 5th gen is about 200lbs heavier, H&R took that in mind to make the springs. I would call a dealer and ask them. Anyone who actually knows what they are talking about, please add to what I have said.
Thanks,
jason

Your point of the car being heavier is something to think about. The thing that has me puzzled, and is essentially why I posed the question, is that Eibach and H&R use different part numbers and progress does not. Progress claims that the springs are the same from 95-03.

To me it's pretty simple. If the 5th Gen H&R Springs have a different part number than the 4th Gen H&R springs, I would NOT put them on a 4th Gen.

Send me a PM if you decide to sell your H&Rs. I'd be interested in buying them if they're in good shape.
