Clarion CD Changer

Anyone have problems with their Clarion CD changer? I just installed mine this past weekend and it skips all the time. I even burned new CDs and the changer continues to skip. Any thoughts?

you have to use 74 mins with the Clarion 737. 80s will make it skip. I have two of them (PF/Max), both will skip on 80s but play 74s fine.. you cant underburn 80s... will still skip

Has anyone mounted it under a seat instead of in the trunk?

ARRGGHHH!!! I burned over a hundred CD's on 80's so that I don't lose the originals in case they ever get stolen. And my changer is skipping like a bi1ch! I wish I knew before I burned them all.

The Bose compatible changer isnt CENet.. its euro-spec bus and backwards compatible to 1996 nissans.. so, its not really meant to use 80 min disks. My 2000 bose headunit plays them fine whereas the CV737 will not. Well, I take that back, they will play the first 25% of the CD ok, then skip after that.

Well for me it depends on the CD. Some skip from the start, others it's about 25% into the CD.

I guess since I'm getting the Hornet alarm installed this week with a glass break sensor it'll be ok to put my original CDs in my car. I just hate to have them stolen....
