anybody re-wire fogs to stay on with high beams?

I am a new Max owner (2k3 GLE) and was wondering if anybody re-wired their fogs to stay on with their high beams? If so, what's the procedure?

It was easy on my Dodge Ram truck, all I had to do was remove the relay for the fogs and install a jumper.

Thanks.

Since the 5th gen came out I don't think anyone has been able to do this. I did the original fog light rewire mod how-to on my 5th gen, and I tried everything I could to get them to work with the highs as well. Nope. I don't think its that big of a deal anyways since I rarely use my highs. The way the new wiring is on the 5th gen, I just believe it isn't possible. The 4th gen it was possible and wasn't near as complicated.

Dang! That stinks if true. I guess I'll have to spring for some silverstars or PIAA's for my high beams. Of course, I would probably have done this anyway.

Just take the relay 'trigger' feed from the clearance light. As long as the clearance light is on, the fogs should stay on. I wired 3 4th gens, 1 5th gen, and 1 240sx like this. I dont recall testing the high beams on the 5th gen, but dont see why it wouldnt work...

That is the way all my cars have been wired and how its shown in the HOW-TO. The 5th gen is different for keeping the fogs on with highbeams. You can have them on with parking lights, but not with highbeams.
