hey i just bought a 2001 nissan maxima and wow am i happy but i was wondering if someone could help me out.. i noticed alot of people have wired there radar detectors in behind the rearview mirror, can anyone help me out with this or any other methods so i dont have the wire showing? my knowledge on modifying cars isnt that great but id like to learn my way, just post a reply..thanks

I have an Escort 8500, I have it hard-wired to the fuse box. Others have theirs hard-wired to the mirror wires. If you have the Escort 8500, I can email you the how-to.

I have a V1 hardwired there, I had it installed at Tweeter for $20. I was going to do it myself because it's a real easy install, but $20 was a good price in my mind because it gave a warentee.

Here are some of my how-tos that might help you with your install. They were both done on a 2001 Maxima SE.

Look under Electrical, then V1 or Passport install. Both similar.
