Max Update

Well, I've had my Max for about 7 weeks now, and yesterday I got 370 miles on 16.2 gallons... an average of 22.8 MPG (the Max has 2,300 miles on it). Not bad.

I'm thinking that I can easily hit 400 miles on a tank with pure highway driving...

Anyone have similar results?

I have an 01 and my best has been 437 miles on 16 gallons. It was all highway though. Usually I get around 380 miles per 16 gallons.

Picked up my 03 SE 6 speed Max 7 weeks ago but I only have 670 miles (close commute to work plus I do air travel for work). I have not reset the trip yet and I am getting 21.2 mpg on mostly highway. About 3 weeks ago I was getting 20.1, so you can see the mileage improving as the engine breaks in

I have an 02 auto and I get lousy mileage, about 19-20 per gallon.

man seriously...i get 20 at best. i dont know why. my driving is about 50/50 highway/street. is something wrong with my car? i've never noticed it before.. but after reading this post.. it got me wondering..
