knocking noise coming from front end

I have a 2002 maxima and for the last couple of days I've noticed a knocking noise coming from the front end of my car over any type bumpy surfaces. I took the car in yesterday to Frost Nissan in Newton MA and the found that my front sway bars were worn. The car only has 10000 miles on it so what's up with that. They replaced both sway bars and cars is nice and tight. Has anyone else experenced this problem.

No my car wasn't involved in the recall. It was built in march 2002 and the vin # wasn't effected. Hope this is the last time I hear is noise. Hey at least Frost Nissan service was good.........

I have this same problem in my 2K2 GLE. My dealer just brushed me off and said the car was designed that way.
