Koni's and dustboots...Anyone have it?
Koni's and dustboots...Anyone have it?
This sunday I'm installing Ground Controls and Koni adjustables on my 2k2. I was told that my factory dustboots wont fit onto the koni's since the ground controls are really small, is that true? I'm buying the koni's from a friend of mine so they have already been modified to fit into the stock strut housings. Also, should I use the stock strut bushings or buy new ones?

I didnt see it on Kevin's Koni too.
are you using camber plates? if not, get some 4th gen strut mounts or you have to modify your 5th gen strut mount.

Do you think anything can happen if I'm not using dustboots? I heard someone say it'll make you bottom out, is that true?
btw, thanks for the pics!

No I'm not using camber plates but my friend whose giving them to me has had the setup on his 2000 maxima so I guess it should fit fine in my 2k2.

make sure you'll trim the bump-stop. I asked my installer, Turbo95Max, and he said the dust boots are not required.
there is no dust boot for JIC magic too...
Hey Nathan,
I got your e-mail. Sorry I can't help you very much .. I'm not that technical. You will not be able to fit the dustboots with the GC's. But most people are in the same boat and they don't seem to have a problem.
I wish I had time to help you guys out with the install!
Good luck!
