Getting rid of 17s and 18s ????

After the release of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen dyno comparison with different wheel sizes and weights Im starting to think about getting rid of the 17s for 16s or light 17s maybe.

How many people have decided to changes wheels and tires after reading the write up?

Would 17s that are lighter than 16s be equal?

I have always known wheel weight and size will affect acceleration but I didnt know it was affecting me that much.

I just switched back to my stock 16s and my car really does feel quicker than it did with my 18s. It does definitely make a difference at the track as well. At least between my old Konig Verdicts and my stock 16s.

My stock 17"s are four pounds heavier (with tires) than my aftermarket 18"s.

im in the process of choosing some lighter 17 after seeing the comparison info. im sticking with 17s because i already dropped the loot for the michelins and im not about disregard them. going from stock 17's that are around 25 lbs and going to a lighter 17, somewhere around 18 lbs or less should knock off anywhere from 150-175 lbs. im not expecting the car to act as if it had a small shot of nitrous but i hope ill be able to tell a difference.
