About parking...
Hey guys, I pay a monthly fee of 160$ to have my car in a garage at work, in 4 years the morons who park my car cause almost 5000$ of damage ( on my 2 maxima ) I got my car back from the paint shop 2 weeks ago, the first day I got my car
back I told the garage owner to be carefull with my car because of the paint jobs, he then respond there always carefull with all car ( BS ) the next days my rear bumber is all scratch because they hit the wall, the following weeks they hit the wall again, yesterday it was the front bumber, I'm so pi$$ed off, do you think I can sue them or what should I do.
Thanks for any advise.

They probably have a disclaimer on your ticket or contract that says they are not resopnsible for damage to the vehicle....just a thought but do like me...by a beater (96 Saturn) that I use for city driving...don't care how beat up it gets, and for 2K or less much cheaper than repainting.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.

Because that is the only place near my office, otherwise I would have to park 2 KM away and take a cab to the office, wich is a non sense, anyhow I'm moving my office before the end of april, my argument to them the other day was if you cant drive someone else car properly dont drive it, they give themselve the right to fock your car and not being responsable for it, I ask them to park my car in an area were no one is going to touch it, they respond that I arrive too latein the morning, I then told them how is it difficult to assign a specific place to each owner who pay a monthly fee, I've been there for the last 5 years. I dont understand how someone can run a business and not taking care of its own customers, that's the world up side down, anyway before I move, I'm going to bump in the mercedes of the owner, I will tell him I'm not responsable just like he did to me.
Cheers

Re: Re: Re: About parking...
doublea, I wonder if you are parking in the same place that I do on University when I come to Montreal for business, I have had bad experience too. Thank goodness it was a rental - 2002 Camry SE V6. When I picked up the car from the valet, the chrome trim on the driver's side door was all dented. It looked like the guy opened the door really hard onto a concrete wall more than once. Luckily the Hertz guys didn't look at the car when I returned it.
BTW, despite me living in YYZ my Max was originally purchased at Auto Gouvernour in Laval. But driving in Montreal gets me so enraged and causes me to drive so aggressivley that I would never take my own car there, hence the rental.

That is why I never leave the keys to my car! When I used to work downtown a reserved spot in a non-valet was a perk of the job.
cpdc: Yeah, I know what you mean. Getting out of the Toronto-Kingnston traffic jam is nuts! I remember doing the drive, the other way, once. ONCE! nearly rolled my car on the way home I was so ****ed off! Did you get as great service as you deserve from Gouverneur, as I did?

I would say get a beater car and also talk to a lawyer. A lot of those "we are not responsible" signs are BS. They are meant to deter most people from seeking legal action. You pay them $160 / month for them to be responsible for your car!

I can't beleive that you've paid $7680 over the past 4 years and then another $5000 worth of repairs!!! Wow, that hurts.
I guess that's why I still have a mortgage on da house.
