Broke my mirror off

Stay away from automatic carwashes, people tell me. I don't listen. I bought a car wash with a fill-up the other day, intending to cut the grime caused by all the construction at my office lately. My car has not been able to stay clean since they started, so I'd resorted to these automatic car washes to at least keep her reasonably not dirty. Well, this last car wash I bought, I couldn't use, because the car wash was closed that day for maintainence. Instead of getting a refund, I hung on to it, since they're good for 14 days. Tonight, I was in the area, so I decide to get it done. I pulled in, watched the sprayer arm go around the front of the car, the driver's side, across the back, then skim along the surface of the passenger side! I was off-center in the carwash! The arm ran into my mirror, bending it backwards until it snapped. Then the arm stopped completely, and the car wash shut down. So not only is my mirror broken, my car is covered in soap, with no way to finish up and get the soap off!

I went inside, and spoke to the manager, who paged her DM 911. The DM called back, and said to get three estimates, bring them to her, and Exxon would pay for the repairs. Righteous behavior on their part, but damned if I'm every going through a car wash again!
