Reverse Lights

I've noticed that the reverse lights on my 2K3 SE aren't nearly as bright as my previous 98 SE. And both cars were tinted the same. I even turn off the autodim mirror and that doesn't seem to help much.

I was wondering if anyone on the *.org who has replaced their bulbs noticed a decent improvement with aftermarket bulbs.

The owners manual says the reverse lights are 13 watt, T16 ?????

Thanks for your help.

HID Conversion he he.....just kidding, I think most aftermarket bulb of that size has the same output as stock bulb. Just different color.

B/c he likes to drive in reverse on the freeway. Maybe there is an HID conversion for them.

Try the polarg M-6 bulbs. They throw out a nice light and when they are off it has a nice blue reflection through the round reverse outlet.

The Polargs are considerably brighter lights than the stock ones.

Obviously I asked the question because I have trouble seeing when backing up.

Thanks to the other *.org members for the info on the Polarg bulbs.

I have the polarg bulbs, they are definately brighter with stuff closer to my car, but they don't throw light as far as the stocks do.

Those look like the piaa's. The polarg bulbs are a little darker.
