Full-power exhaust vibration after installing Stillen Y-pipe

Hey all! I'm NOT convinced this is flex-pipe related...

After I installed my Stillen Y-pipe two weekends ago, I noticed a noticible vibration I could feel in the floor boards at my feet and in my *** (through the seat). At first I thought it was the flex-pipe, but the vibes ONLY happen when I floor it in first and second gears. On the highway, or any time I'm city-driving with any other gear there is no vibration.

Any ideas?

the vibration you hear and feel is the black exhaust brace right between the cat and resonator. it has four bolts on each side and the bracket is black. you can choose to remove the bracket and not put it back on or you can go to a hardware store and buy bolts about an inch longer and buy 4-5 washers per bolt which will lower the bracket. the brackets main function is to hold up the exhaust if it were ever to fall and it also may play a part in rigidity as it is a bracket of decent size and locks both sides of the car.

That is one thing I contemplated...

...thanks! I was thinking last night after wrapping the flex-pipe for good measure that that's what it could be, because the Stillen pipe has the stock hanger BEFORE the flex pipe whereas the stock y-pipe has the back y-pipe hanger AFTER the flex pipe, supporting the back collector flange and catalytic converter (making the bacl half of the Stillen Y-pipe flop around more easily.

I will DEFINITELY look into a few washers to space the Brace down a bit. Otherwise, I may find options to protect the brace in case of metal-to-metal contact next time the exhaust system decides to drop down!
