Wind Deflector at Courtesy Nissan

Just curious, has anyone bought the Sunroof Deflector from Courtesy Nissan? And if so, are these the "new" batch of Wind Deflectors which are suppose to be more sturdy then the problems the 02's had??

I don't know, for $39.95, that's a great price, but I'm just concerned with quality. And plus, when I bought my 03, it didn't come with a wind deflector, but if I wanted one, they wanted to tag another $200 bucks for it! F' that!!

Any ideas??

All you have to do is go back to your dealer and tell them that you are experiencing wind noise through your sunroof and instead of addressing the issue they will give you a free winddeflector instead of tearing up your sunroof at there time and cost. Try it, thats what they did for me. It is a known fact from previous TSB's that there sunroofs make noise and or leak water. Worth a try.

Can't tell you about the Courtesy Nissan deflectors, but I know that the "new and improved" deflectors have been shipped. I just got a replacement for my cracked up one from the local Nissan dealership. The new ones are thicker and look of a better quality than the previous ones. Give them a call and ask is my suggestion.

Unless you want scratches and damage to your paint...

DO NOT install one of these if you plan on removing it later. They are notorious for leave abrasions, etc. if removed later.

Do the 03's have the redesigned outside wind deflector that is thicker??

Mine came with one from the factory? Is it the latest and greatest?

Thanks

Vic

Thing is, the 03's from what I was told by the dealer said they weren't included because of the 02 defects, and he said, "If you look at the lot, do you notice that none of the 03's have any sunroof wind deflectors?" "also, its not included on the invoice"

Sooo............what now?

I thought about that from the other post I've read, but I kinda like the wind deflector.....adds alil profile to it. Plus, I had one on my 01 Altima and it looked pretty good. If I did get it on the max, I don't have any intentions of ever taking it off down the road.
