Have you considered supercharging instead?

BTW, I haven't considered anything ... I don't own a Max ... looking into one though for future family vehicle if there is an aftermarket for it.

In that respect, get a SB Chevy motor...more mods for that than anything on this Earth...Just answer the man's question, that's all he wants.
FastCougar, there are enough mods and more in the pipeline for the 3.5L. In theory, the parts in use or development for the 350Z "could" be swapped into the other VQ35DE engines/platforms, and there are possibilities on the turbo and S/C front, although the S/C "might" be a ltitle more difficult at the moment. There are enough Nissan/Infiniti platforms that use the VQ35DE that aftermarket support will heed the call, especially with the 350Z and G35C.

IMO, 2k2+ is the best family Maxima because you cannot do many things to it. So you dont have to worry about reliability issue, etc.
want to have fun? get a 2k 5spd GXE and boost it with turbo. or even better if you can get a 5spd 4th gen. I bet it is still cheaper than a new 2k3.
