Going Prices for New '03 SE's

I'm looking at getting a new '03 SE. Automatic, cloth, and moonroof. Sticker is $27.1K and invoice is $24.3K. I've seen rebates in the $1000-$1500 range. I've tried for online quotes before going to the dealer, but so far no one has responded. So does anyone know how low dealers are going on an '03 with these options now that more '04's are hitting the lots?

Ideally I'd like to get an '02 SE with leather, but I've pretty much given up hope on find one of those. And it seems like the ones with cloth have high miles or were rentals.

Thanks---

Since you're looking for an auto, I'd say you can get a 2003 WITH leather and the other options you listed (moonroof) for around 24K, if not lower. This is given that you can find the car. Since 2004s are hitting the lots, dealerships need to free up inventory to accomodate the newer models, so you may be able to bargain heavily.

I say go for 2003 with leather, you should be able to get a great deal on it.

TRUE, but good luck finding a 6-speed in the color you want with the options you want.. I looked for a few months before finally finding one.. I finally gave up online and contacted approx. 30 nissan dealers here in Cali before they all found me one -- the same one.

Appearantly it was like the last white 6-speed in Cali!

Anyways, I got it -- $26k fully loaded.. wouldda been $33,600 a year ago when it was considered a "new arrival"..

Yes it does. I went to the carsdirect.com site and will use those prices as a basis for my "discussions" with the Nissan dealers in the area this weekend. Thanks for the info--

That's good to know. Given that I want automatic, that should play in my favor. I'm real curious to see what the prices will be when I go to the dealers this weekend. If they're low enough and the cars are available, maybe leather isn't out of the question after all. Thanks--

Not sure where in WI you are. But Schaumburg, IL Nissan quoted me $21500 for a new 03 auto Max last weekend. I went with a used 2002 6 speed Maxima instead which I found for $17.5

Hey..no problem..The dealer is ramsey nissan..1800-nj-cars1..call ask for nick or murph..just say your a friend of mine, Michael F. who's working with Mary right now to purchase the 03 sheer silver maxima 6spd..tell nick or murph your looking to buy (and if you are tell them when you can be down to buy the car asap) they will give you a price over the phone 9the best price this way from my expereince, but have a # in mind b4 you call..go to there web site and look at there inventory/..they are very reputable as i have bought 2 cars from them already..make sure you tell them your my friend or better yet that you work with me..you will get a good deal!//i know when i was there last week they were giving some of teh 03's away but you must be aggressive and be ready to give them a deposit if you get the $$$$ deal you want! e-mail me directly if you want to work this together, this can play in both of our favors as i have not yet finished working out the final $$$'s on my 03 max 6spd..was going \to go today but with the snow forget about it!//Let me know what happens or if you want to work it out toghether, i have leveraged them before by buying two cars at once with a cousin..IT WORKS!! good for at least another $500.00 of on each car!..--Michael
