Which car would you choose and Y

I'm considering selling my car and getting something else. However I can not decide on what car to get. The car has to be Auto and I would prefer used with decent milage 45-50K mi. and less than 30K. Which should I get? These are my choices

Lincoln LS V8 sprt (Most affordable used)
Mercedes E320 or 430
BMW 740I sprt (Silver is a must)
Lexus GS400 or 300
Infiniti G35

Whatever you do, if you get the MB or BMW make sure you have ample waranty coverage of some kind.

Also, what years are we talking about for each?

Hey Perry, my initial response would've been 740i without a doubt, but every single late model 740 used that I see sitting on lots always seem to be puffin out blue smoke, so be that as it may and also factoring in the fact that both the MB and BMW are cost prohibitive in terms of repairwise, I'd shoot for a GS400 and hook it up with some LSportline stuff.

BTW..dude check ur PMs..I wanna know where you got those door pillars?? I wanna cop some for my maxi...if you got them from wooddash.com, link me to the page because I can't find em on that site.

thanx bro!

I don't think you can go wrong with anyone of your choices.
But if you really want an opinion go with the 740i. When it's hooked up it really stands out from the crowd.

New or old the 740 is a sweet car.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you thinking of selling?

I'd go w/a GS400 or G35. These cars tend to be more reliable than Mercs and Beamers with mileage on them. On top of that, Mercs and Beamers cost a fortune to maintain once they start going haywire.

Lincoln LS is just not my taste.

GS400, it has the best resale value than any of them. How about Acura 3.5RL?

Stay away from the RL. Very good car but its as plain as day. My sis-in-law has one and theres no just way to mod it. Then again, I guess that was the point.

Another vote for the GS300/400. I read soooo many reviews on how reliable those cars are. Countless times did people mention it's the "best car they've ever owned."

I was going to pick up a used one myself but the insurance was killer!

They are all premium vehicles so if anything happens to go wrong with them it'll cost ya. The BMW and MB are nice cars, but I just don't like the way the dash and console are laid out and the way the buttons are. I much prefer the way Japanese cars are on the inside.

Being the previous owner of two Fords, I'd say stay away unless you don't mind rattles and squeeks. I know some of you Max guys complain of this, but I highly doubt it's as bad as a Ford.

Good luck w/ the purchase...........

Take a look at my homepage you can tell I love my Maxima and I wouldn't want to give it up for any car less than a Maxima (you know what I mean) but lets just face it RWD is a lot more fun than FWD and the Maxima's resale is a shame. I want a RWD car and something that will be affordable but a bit more upscale as well. That leaves me with the choices I have listed.

I absolutely love the 740I sport in silver with black leather and xenon lights it is my dream car I wouldn't consider any other BMW but the 740I sport.

The Lexus has been around since 98 but the car still has that look about it and like others have mentioned there is a big aftermarket for these cars to make them look and perform even better.

I think the 320 Sprt in silver is a classic understated but still stylish car I do double takes when ever I see this car and I would love to drive one.

The Lincoln is ford yes but it also has a classic athletic look to with the sports package and they are very affordable if I got the LS, it would be hard for me to part with my Maxima but I do think the LS looks better and has a V8 and RWD!

My last choice is the G35 I like the styling and the fact that it is a Nissan is a plus but it's a V6 so it would be tough to choose between the G35 and say a GS300.

As far as what model year of these cars I would choose it would be between 1999-2002.

The Lincoln would be a better choice if that V8 actually had some nads. It's only 252hp out of a 3.9L V8! Pathetic! They finally upped the horsepower to 280 for 2003 but I don't think the performance is that great.

The resale on those suck too. A brand new 2003 is like $40k and on Edmunds.com a 2000 V8 model is worth only about $20k.

The only thing it has going for it in my eyes is the RWD part. I do miss that aspect of my 1996 T-bird V8 (traded this for my Maxima last December). I had perfect control of that car going sideways through a turn....ahhh...the memories!

I wouldn't buy a new Lincoln LS though and that is why I am comnsiderig the car because I can get a used one for real cheap.
