This is perhaps the PRIMARY advantage of a cone intake over a Place Racing (Cattman) CAI. It's easy to replace the cone intake with the stock airbox if something goes wrong. But how on earth could you explain the hole left in the fender when you remove the CAI?
Yeah... I was doing that. The problem was that my car broke down away from my house while I had the cone intake on. It turned out that my cone intake wiggled off the intake tube, which threw off the MAF. I was so stupid that I didn't notice it. The car stalled on me and wouldn't restart. I had the car towed to the dealer and they figured it out. Luckily they didn't charge me for anything. They asked me to remove the intake. (That was last summer)
At the very least... I should have hung onto my intake for the racetrack. I landed up selling it.

There's an easy way out of that one, Paul2kGXE. Just put your stock airbox back on before you take your car in for service.
