2k2 Max Brakes question??? Help please
2k2 Max Brakes question??? Help please
Hi, I'm kinda new here.
I have a 2k2 automatic maxima with 11,500 miles on it. Well I noticed a little grinding in my brakes after i came back from a 3 day trip in Montreal. Anyway, when I got my oil changed I asked my dealer to check it out.
They told me I needed new front brake pads that will cost 160 all together for installation and everything.
Isn't 11,000 miles is way too soon for new brake pads?????
Plus a few days later, I didn't notice anymore noise.
Are they trying to take me???? I don't even drive that aggressive at all.
On my bill it says I need new front brake pads. My concern now is if I don't get them changed and down the road my rotors or something goes, they can take me on the warranty saying I didn't service my car right. Which is BULL cause I take such good care of my car.

it all depends on how you drive your car, yes brakes can wear out if you ride them a lot or if you do a lot of hard braking. but it does seem pretty fast to wear out pads. it pretty easy to check the brakes , just jack up your car and check the pad thickness.
