I took my 03 SE to my Nissan dealership and had warrenty repair done on a headlight switch problem. Both remote keyless units that came with my car stopped working afterward I have made another appointment for this new problem. I opened the hood and noticed that there is a module box next to the plastic coolant tank. This module box contains modules for head lamp, 'key less', corner lamp etc... I opened this box and there is no module in the 'key less' slot. Anyone knows whether this is the problem?

sorry, but does it matter? It's warranty, you'll bring it in and get it back in working condition, and they'll even tell you what the problem was.

Let us know if that was the problem.

I have NO CLUE if the missing module is the problem, but I have had success changing the remote codes and adding a 3rd remote by following the process here: http://www.courtesyparts.com/instruc...ote-entry.html

It worked for me 2000 SE. Good luck!

Checked my new 2003 SE engine compartment. No relay. In fact, not even an empty socket. So I'd say this is a normal condition regarding keyless entry. Your issue is elsewhere.

I took it to the dealership this morning. It only took the service Rep. less than thirty seconds to reprogramed both keyless remote controls. He did it so fast inside the vehicle so I would say the service rep. probably used the process provided by crow76.
