why is the American 2001 SE Look Different?
Hey Owners, why does the 2001 SE look different in the States then in Canada. Apparently, the American version has a body package. Anybody know why, because the American one looks so much better.
Take a look at the pictures if you dont beleive me.

beats me
But I did see an AE without an Body kit here in the states. It had all the cosmetics: bronze headlights, polished rims, I30 muffler tips, AE badging, Aluminum trim. It still had dealer plates.

The reason why is pricing and the fact that in the US you can get a 2001 se or 2001 se 20th ann. Where as in Canada you get only the 2001 se 20th ann. Our comes fully loaded where the US model starts with the se without leather and the other goodies. Also marketing studies say were as canadians don't like to trick out our cars like the americans do.
I would have liked to had the ground effects on mine and may still pick them up next time I'm in th US. Satisfied for now with the present car though.
