Coilover ???

I'm still sweating over what spring set up to get for my '03 SE, so this time, I'm throwing a coilover question out there. I came across an Eibach coilover at a local performance shop, and since I'm relatively new to the concept of C/O's I took a close look at it. The first thing I noticed about it was that, its design wasn't progressive. The guy at the shop said that there's an attachment spring that you can buy that'll make it sort of mimic a progressive design, but it really doesn't work the same. My question is: Are all coilovers designed this way? The JIC's that everybody keeps talking about, how are they as far as ride comfort is concerned? Whatever direction I decide to take (springs & struts or C/O's), it's important that I get a nice subtle drop without ride harshness. I'd appreciates some inputs from you guys who already have C/O's.

Ok can you afford JIC coilover? If not, get Ground Control Coilover.. I have no problem with it and I drive it on stock struts. I dont think there is any harsh ride and bumpy alot.. It just normal bouncy whenever the road is bumpy.. Anything else u woud like to know..

Thanks for your input, SE7EN. Since I see that you have a SE as well, I'm sure that you'd know the difference between the stock SE ride and the C/O ride. What's the price range for the JIC's and the Ground Controls, by the way? Also, as far as the height adjustment is concerned, how much drop do they allow at most?

I got an SE as well, dont got the GC's but as for how low u can go well that all depends on what size spring u got in it. The standard GC's are around the $400 range give or take a few, but do come with 8" springs from Eibach. You can however get 7" or even 6" springs from Eibach. btw se7en how long have u had the gc's with the stock struts? Im riding on Teins and Toks right now and the springs havnt even settled 100% yet so its still very stiff, no body roll and the diff is day and night over the stock SE suspension. As for the coilovers well think about this. If u want adjustability in ride height u have to go GC (approx 400) If you want to couple that with struts say you go toks (320ish) If u also want to have adjustable camber and get a camber kit (400) is gonna rack up to well over 1K. Id just pay a bit more and go 4 the JIC or the Tein coilovers if u want to get all that. Sorry 4 the long post, just my .02
