does anyone worry about water getting sucked up through the tube? i put it together at my brothers garage and 4 other mechanics said i should worry about drawing water up the tube.

is the suction going to be that strong?

 

did you cut your mud guard wide open? if so, I would. the suction is strong and I tried it (asked someone to step on the pedal when I have my hands on the OSCAI.

I drilled holes on the mud guard instead though.

 

Er . . . um . . . NO! Last time I looked, water was heavier than air. As long as the stock air scoop remains open and properly connected to your intake system, you cannot draw sufficient water up the OSCAI tube to hydrolock your engine . . . PERIOD.
