18 x 8.5" wheel questions/opinions- I also need pics.

Anyone have pics of 18 x 8.5" wheels on a lowered 5th gen? I saw Kevs, but I was looking for some other ones.

Also, will a 245 40 18 rub? I am lowered about 2" in the front and 1.5" in the rear.

What does everyone think of these? I am afraid that they will look ghetto without a body kit.

The spokes are a little too wide for my liking. The Konig Verdicts would look good with a bodykit.

No. I have that size on my 18x8.5's and no rubbing whatsoever. I am lowered almost as low as you in the front, and lower in the rear.

The wheels look nice... sort of like the RH C5's with a little twist.

After taking out the SC CAI and moving the windshield washer reservoir, the wheels do not rub at all.

Oh, and are polished wheels too bling bling? I've never had a set. I've only had machined.

Polished looks swett, I say go 4 it. Those wheels are a definate upgrade to ur RH's. This way u dont have to mess with all the spacers and all and no u wont rub. I think MichealAE or something has 255 on his w/o rubbing but those 245's should do just fine and I think ull notice a bit softer ride as well as better traction then ur 225/40 Toyos are gonna give you. And good choice on getting the TS-1's those things are like glue.

Well, if I can find the wheels cheaper than $250, I could get Nitto NT555s for $135 each.

Also, I wonder how much they weigh.....Hmmmm.

They're a full inch wider and have a black inner wheel portion so I won't have to clean it every single friggin day.

Toaster- They are Ace Wheels, found here:

Any more opinions? Do you think I should sell my wheels and get these just to gain the 1" extra width, new tires, and black inner wheel portion? Oh, and the entire face of this wheel is polished. They remind me of Craig Mack's wheels, which I love.

I like your C5s better than any of the ones you've posted... You said something about cleaning, all those rivets on either one are all toothbrush material, they'll take forever to clean. Would that extra inch of width really be worth it? Not to me, but it's your car. Both the choices you posted look good (although I don't know about imitation Hamanns) but the C5s just look cleaner and better than both.

I say do it Andy. There is nothing like looking at a wide footprint of tire when riding behind someone.

19x8.5, seriously it's not really worth the money to change your rims to another set of 18s. Unless you really want a good lightweight 18 like a SSR Comp. or a Volk.

Andy here is an 18x8.5 that I really like, Fittipaldi Fin (it is relatively new) has a very clean look to it. Has the almost deep dish look but a different spoke pattern from what you have had in the past so you can 'change it up' a bit:

http://www.discounttire.com/dtc/find...567&path=wheel

...That is the listing for the 17x7.5 but they have an 18x8.5 that will fit too... It also comes in chrome but this silver one looks tight too and is very nicely priced!

Beat you to it Andy. I have these rims, Ace Zues', in a 18 x 8.5 with 245/40/18's. They do not rub and yes they look fat! Matter of fact the front sits just right but the rears could still use some spacing outwards. Who makes those knock offs though? I've always liked these rims, kinda look like the giovanna's

Do you think you could post pics? I want these rims so bad...Asu..definitly look into these wheels they are so nice, i saw them in person and they are not bling whatsoever if anything they look like hyperblack or opal. I think these wheels would look very good on your white max...forget spacers and get the fatty 245s. They might be on the heavy side but also probably very strong and durable too, besides take them off if you go to the track.

What knockoffs? Those are the Ace Zeus. They just have a blank centercap in them.

I definitely want some pics ASAP.

Oh thanks. I was actually asking for 8.5" wide wheels. I have pretty much the same wheels as you do right now.
