I just got off the phone with NGK, the tech and i talked a little about the 2k2/2k3 maxima. Seems like only the Double platinum plug is available. I know someone is running iridium plugs. They say the reason i cannot use an iridium plug is that the thread lenght is too long. I can confirm this, i picked up a set of 2001 coppers and the 2k2 plugs are about 1/4" or more, LONGER. So the only option NGK has for me is the double platinum which is the orginal PLFR5A-11. Not sure about other companies, time to call DENSO.

I've got denso iridiums on my '02 and they work plenty fine. car starts real crisp, and no issues at all.

Just called Monarch, big supplier of denso iridiums/ngk iridiums. With the reach of 26. something. Its too long and they dont have a plug in the same Length. Also saying with a shorter plug, i wont get the full potential. Now im sure it'll screw in just fine, but like i said....the 2k1 coppers were shorter than the 2k2 OEM NGK platinum i pulled out. So thats 2 companies first one being NGK directly, and 2nd Monarch a supplier, both cannot cross reference the plugs. So No NGK Iridium or Denso iridum for me.
